Farm Journal ~ July
We are still waiting on the blueberries. Will there be a plentiful harvest? Enough to open to the public, at least once, or twice? It is still hard to say. There are plenty of berries and they are ripening. They are tart as yet and there has been some loss from Winter Moth and other critters. The fields are unpruned and, as of yet, unmowed. There are no nets.
We will give them another ten days before we make our decision.
There is a profusion of wild native grasses, daisies and dandelions, mugwort and milkweed, and our butterfly weed is flowering. So the fields are lovely.
