Farm Journal ~ July
Among the weeds and grasses wildlife abounds, finding plenty to eat at the farm. I wish we could say the same for the humans.
The farm will not be open this summer although we had hoped earlier this spring that it might be. The first signs of leaf growth and berry buds, then flowers and Bumblebees, was encouraging our hopes; but once again, the lack of water and the presence of Winter Moth dashed those high hopes.
We did discover a small cache of berries in the lower field, the late blooming crop, and we hope enough will survive to feed our family!
We do hope everyone has a wonderful summer.
