Farm Journal- June
The berries are now taking shape. There is a hint of blue. The leaves are a lush green.
The plants are all pruned, weeded, and mulched and we have been irrigating regularly due to the unpredictable weather. Crickets are humming in the wildflowers and long grass; swallows and bluebirds abound. Summer is in the air.
The nets will go up this week to protect the blueberries from feasting birds (and sometimes deer) and then it's just a couple weeks more before we open the week of July 5th- as it looks now.
