Farm Journal- October
From the south side of the farm one can see the netting posts that mark the rows of blueberries along the woods edge. This perspective from the wildflower meadow, beset now by the invasive Mugwort, has a vastness to it beneath the sheltering sky. One cannot see the hectic commerce of the roads that mark this corner of the field, only its tranquility. The flags of Mugwort are beautiful in their own way and do provide some sustenance for our resident birds and creatures.
All is well as we move into a new month at the farm- stunning October. |
