Farm Journal- February
The big news this month is about our book, Out in Blue Fields, A Year at Hokum Rock Blueberry Farm. It will be available for purchase on March 28th. Amazon, apparently, has already shipped a few prior to the release date. That's fine with us. It is exciting to see our book listed there, in the publisher's catalogue, and on various libraries' upcoming titles selection.
For those who care to wait, we are scheduling a series of local talks and book signings over the coming spring and summer. We will post our schedule here under Events. The book will be sold at the farm table in July and August of course and available through a link on this website. We would be happy to sign any copies of the book you purchase online. We invite you to place a HOLD on the book in the CLAMS library system for a free preview copy!
Writing a book is a sort of miraculous process, one we thoroughly enjoyed, even if it was a lot of hard work (a little like farming). Holding the story of our farm in our hands now as a book is a feeling that is actually hard to describe in words. Gratitude and humility are adjectives that apply. We are very pleased with the book design and excellent print quality. We hope you'll like it too.
