Farm Journal- November
Color is slowly working its way from top to bottom on the blueberry plants, from burgundy to deep green. As you can see from the photograph, we have not mulched the plants yet for the coming winter. November is mulch month and we are at the ready to bed the plants down, once the last six rows are weeded.
The plants have continued their strong growth this season into these fall months and buds are being set for the spring. Is it just us or are colors more vibrant this fall? Although the weather has been unpredictable, everything seems gilded with golden light, which makes this time of transition easier to bear. And yet, Nothing gold can stay, as Frost wrote.
