Farm Journal- April '14

We hope that there will be blue skies and warm sunshine this month. Pruning began in March but the weather was not as cooperative as we would have liked. It is slow going. The spring buds are not as numerous as last year at this time but that is not surprising. It won't be long before we are playing catch up as we always do. Even with the signs of climate change we have been made aware of, we can rely on nature to always seek her own balance.

April is a month full of change here at the farm and all over the Cape. We will all be happy to put this winter behind us and allow summer's amnesia to help us forget. You can call us April fools any day...
