Farm Journal- November

​November is not so colorless yet but will be by month's end.

Although we walk the field every day there is little in the way of work to be done. The leaves are still on the plants - their dormancy is weeks away. Their fall growth is over and buds are being set for the spring. This is their quiet work. It is a quiet time for all.

Only the birds and squirrels are are busy fattening themselves up. In the weeks ahead landscapers will roll in with their leaves to fatten up next year's much pile.
