Farm Journal- May
All the blueberry bushes are breaking out in blossoms. The whole field is a pastel of pink and white and spring green- a lovely sight to behold.
Although the plants are still a bit ahead of us, by about two weeks due to the unusual weather, we are half-way done with all the pruning, thanks to MJ, Bob, Sandra, and Dave. Weeds are under control, thanks to Bob again with some help from Cassie and Kyle. The rows are being mowed, now that the tractor has been fixed, by Wonderful Dave. And amidst all this human activity, birds are darting by and bees are buzzing about. Things are looking up.
And looking ahead, we predict by our July opening, which we will give you plenty of notice of, there will be plentiful and luscious berries for all.

Cobie~ R.I.P.
The farm lost another dear friend,
Sandra's Cobie, on Beltane.
We will all miss her in the field,
especially our little Audrey.
Our hearts go out to Sandra.
