Farm Journal- early July

Picture
The blueberries never cease to amaze us. No matter what the weather- how harsh the winter, how cool and dry the spring- every July there they are, in all their crayon blue finery. Though most of the berries are still green, a couple of weeks is all it will take for enough to color and ripen.

Like the character said in Where the Wild Things Are, Maurice Sendak's lovely book on childhood- "I love you so much I could eat you."

The nets are up and it won't be long now before the gates will open. Check back again for the date.

If you haven't been by the farm yet,
now
is the time,
with 2 weeks behind us and 3 more to go.
