Farm Journal- September
It was an unusual summer for the farm, as it was for all of us. We're grateful that many of our patrons were able to enjoy our blueberries thanks to our collaboration with Hart Farm. Let's keep our hope bright that next summer we can open our field once again.
It has been such a dry summer too. The meadow took on its fall colors early. This is the time of year we enjoy the beauty of the wild grasses that grow so abundantly on our land. There is still plenty of activity in the air with birds foraging among the many seeds and insects that abound. A neighbor added 22 new bird sightings to our count this summer!
