Farm Journal- November
We enter the month of November on the blue moon of October 31st. It is a powerful period with Samhain, the traditional day celebrating the end of the harvest season, Halloween, All Saint's Day, All Soul's Day, Daylight Savings time passed. Samhain is the final cross-quarter day of the year, half-way between the autumnal equinox and the winter solstice. A time to light bonfires and candles. A time for gratitude and preparation. Now a hush settles on the land as winter approaches. We have to keep the light of hope bright. It has been a tumultuous year.
We are preparing our field this month, taking in all the beauty that abounds.
