Blueberry Smoothie
1 cup washed blueberries
1 cup yogurt
1 cup fruit juice- raspberry peach is our favorite
1 Tbs. honey
Optional fruit- we like to add a few ripe strawberries and a banana * (see below)
Pour ingredients into a blender- which you will need- blend well, and serve. A little chopped ice can to added before blending for a colder drink. Experiment with various flavors of yogurt and juices. Nutritious additions could include a dash of soy powder and wheat germ. Use your imagination and let your taste buds be your guide. Yield 3 cups. This recipe is well tested and we have finally arrived at the most tasteful combination.
1 1/2 medium size ripe banana
7-8 good sized strawberries (frozen okay)
1/4 -1/2 cup blueberries
5 oz. (one container) strawberry yogurt (Greek will be tarter)
1 1/2 cups peach mango juice
1/4- 1/2 cup orange juice
Blend very well and chill. Serves two.
