Farm Journal ~ August

Well July certainly flew past but we still have August, which is such a lovely month.
Our openings last month drew record-breaking crowds so we were only able to open a couple times. It might seem as if 1,500 blueberries bushes could provide for so many pickers, but, in actuality, we are a small farm- that level of business means fewer ripe berries left behind and fewer openings. Those who came were happy they did.
As we enter August, we are presently closed for ripening, again. Our lower field of late-ripening berries is almost ready and we will post our next opening soon.
