Farm Journal- February
This mild winter has drawn much praise from locals this year. Are farmers among them, you might ask. We may have a greater understanding of nature's rhythm and variability, yet every year is different, in its own way. We do our best to be flexible and try our best to be prepared.
We are still planning for our pruning season to begin in March. Too often inclement weather delays that process, so if we can get a head's start we'd be happy. There are 1,500 plants to prune don't forget. Last year the blueberry bushes were thick with blossoms and bees by the time we were done. We have noticed that the weeds are getting a jump on the season already and we hope that we won't be far behind them.
We will keep you posted!
