Farm Journal ~ June
It has been odd to step back from our typical farm practices this year- no pruning, no nets. We have even taken down a few posts but plan to leave several up, with connecting wires, for the birds who are fond of perching on them. We did not import any bumblebees this spring but the natives have done their good work. We will irrigate of course, especially with the lack of rain.
The blueberry plants, even with this lack of attention, but not love, are coming along nicely. As you can see in the photograph, the berries are showing up on schedule and abundantly so. July is when they blue up.
