Farm Journal ~ April

The blueberry plants have awakened from their winter dormancy and pruning has begun. All is well.
As we look ahead to the summer season, we are presently considering our options. It will not be possible to decide if we will be able to open to the public until June at least. One way or another, our blueberries will be made available to you though and we will keep you posted.
The plants look strong and healthy. Our resident feathered friends are always happy with our spring mowing efforts, along the borders of the rows and in the wildflower meadow. The swallows have returned as insects hatch out and in the evening the peepers call out from the nearby vernal pool.
